b & u architects has performed public equipments in the cultural, educational, social and sports fields, as well as office buildings and social housing. It also has experience in urbanization and reurbanization in historical town centers, town planning drafting and municipal planning rules and restoring buildings with a historical value.
The professional beirak and ulanosky team is formed by Bibiana Ulanosky and Norberto Beirak, who are in charge of carrying out the projects, directing and coordinating their development and directing the construction works. Both of them are graduated architects by the Architecture and Town planning faculty of the Buenos Aires National University, with validated studies by the Architecture Technical School of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. They live in Madrid since 1976 and are licensed by the Official Architects Association of Madrid.
Norberto Beirak has completed his academic training doing doctorate courses in the Architecture Technical School of Madrid and in the Philosophy faculty of the Complutense University of Madrid; courses in Ethnology and Anthropology in the Scientific Investigations Council and in the Anthropology Association of Madrid; and several town planning seminars in the Architecture Technical School of Madrid, in the COAM Cultural Foundation and in the Pablo Olavide Town Planning Center. He is a member of the Town Planning Debate Club of Madrid, the Van Alen Institute of New York and the Architects Central Society of Buenos Aires.
Bibiana Ulanosky has been trained as a plastic artist, carrying out sculpture studies in Leo Vinci’s workshop in Buenos Aires and painting in the “Arte Actual” workshops given by Antonio Saura, Rafols Casamada y Pablo Palazuelo in Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. She has also taken courses in buildings restoration and buildings pathologies and in town planning in the Official Architects Association of Madrid.
A permanent group of architects and advanced architecture students is also part of its work team; as well as advisers and collaborators in the following specific areas: structures, installations, budgets, safety at work and directing the executions. Since 1985 the office is located in number 40, Infantas street, in the center of Madrid.
b & u architects sees its own work as a synthesis effort destined to fulfill clients expectations: functionality program, economic availability and deadline demands through a proposal which would be formally solid and technically effective. Taking into account the singularity of each project is always part of its concern, as a way of doing its job in an advanced architecture field. It also tries to incorporate into its projects the latest developments in construction technology and to integrate actively the environmental and sustainability requirements.
