PUBLIC SCHOOL IN RIVAS-VACIAMADRID, MADRID

The configuration of the building is mainly longitudinal, parallel to the entrance street, that links the varied required program: the gym, the general entrance, the school building and the service playground. The heart of the school building is a central multifunctional space of linear proportion. In its closest side to the outside, the building goes along with it in a parallel way, whereas in the opposite it goes back creating two perpendicular wings and allowing the functional and visual opening to the landscape. Apart from the opening, the central space has a zenith light to the NE. The gym has an independent entrance at the intersection of the peripheral streets, with separate circulations, one for the public and one for the sports men and women, making the use of the gym easier out of the school timetable. The room has a very generous zenith light of NE orientation.
